Meet Patty 

Patrica M. DeVost, LCSW


Patty is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the field in various roles and for a multitude of organizations for over twenty-three years.  These roles include early intervention, residential and foster-care placements, forensic court evaluator, youth crisis clinician, youth mental health programs consultant, private practitioner, family mediator, and school social worker.  Throughout her diverse career Patty has been a constant innovator of meeting the needs of her clientele in alignment with the current times.  The advocacy she practices and outcomes accomplished in these areas are changing minds and methods about how to reach people in need.

Meet Devan 

Devan DeVost, BS 

Senior Support Specialist 


Devan graduated Arkansas State University with a Bachelors in Science in Psychology which has propelled his interest and motivation in directly serving others. He holds a Life Coaching Certificate from the University of Central Florida and is also currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Social Work. Through his unique talents, attributes, and ability to connect with youth, Devan is an asset to our team. He understands the nature of human behavior and is able to use this knowledge to best support others in their time of need. Devan believes the true art of listening before guiding anyone is the key to not only connecting with individuals, but also connecting them to what they need. In addition to joining the family practice, Devan also serves the SWFL community as the Youth Sports Coordinator for the Fort Myers YMCA where he continues his work positively impacting youth in our area.  Devan loves to read, boat, fish, coach Rugby and travel.

Meet Logan

Logan DeVost, AA

Director of Operations


Logan graduated with an Associates in Arts degree from Florida Southwestern States College and is continuing to pursue higher education to best proudly serve and build this family business. She comes to Patty’s Place with vast experience and knowledge regarding non-profits that includes: marketing, public relations, fundraising, accounting, and customer service.  Her role will be to oversee all aspects of operations for Patty’s Place. Her skill set, communications experience, and overall understanding of how to support the mission of Patty’s Place is invaluable. As the first face you’ll see, Logan will surely be one that lets you know you have come to the right place.

Meet Mac

Mac Handley

MSW Clinical Intern


Mac was born and raised in the prairies of central Illinois. He is currently a Masters in Social Work student at Florida Gulf Coast University in his 2nd year. The three things he love's most in this world are friends, family, and sports. After graduation Mac hopes to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and serve the Southwest Florida community. 

Meet Jenna

Jenna Gwinn

MSW Clinical Intern


Jenna recently graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelor of Social Work Degree. She is currently seeking her Master of Social Work in their advanced standing program. Jenna brings experience in the child welfare field and is looking to use her clinical knowledge as an asset to continue the mission of Patty’s Place. Her desire to learn and grow in the field will be valuable to those who she encounters as her focus is putting the person first and connecting with individuals and their needs. Jenna also loves to read, go to the beach, hike, and explore, and is a member of the collegiate swim team at FGCU. 

Meet Hanna

Hanna Strand

MSW Generalist Intern


Hanna graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and minored in Women’s Studies from Florida State University and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Social Work at Florida Gulf Coast University. Her intersection of knowledge and combined experience of working with children, outdoor sports, and mental health has inspired her to help people find better communication tactics and attempt to connect to nature. She hopes to grow at Patty's Place with a focus on client centered holistic mental health support. While she is not working or studying, she enjoys all outdoor activities such as skiing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, horseback riding, climbing, scuba diving, camping, and gardening.
